Start Corral & Pace
Start & Pace
Self-seed by mile pace at the Start. Look for the big pace signs, respect your fellow runners, and place yourself as accurately as possible. Running with a group? Place yourself according to the pace of the slowest runner in your group.
<10min/mile: Competitive and regular runners
10-11min/mile: Runners who are not walking at all.
11-12min/mile: Casual runners and joggers with very little walking. Fast speed walkers are okay.
Run w/Walking: Mixing in some walking with your running or jogging. Speed walkers too.
Walk: Walking most of the race. Please maintain a steady walking pace, faster than a stroll. Cutoff pace for the 5k is 20 min/mile and 18 min/mile for the 10k.
Contests for All
Don’t Miss the Contests!
Best Costume: Get dressed up and show off your creative look. Go solo or bring a group. The crowd and professional costume judging panel determine the winner.
Gummy Bear Toss: Simple concept. Toss a gummy bear to your teammate and they catch it…with their mouth! Everyone can paticipate, but only one team is crowned Champion.
